Where are you going, man?
In Quo Vadis (1998), Maria Angela explores the constant flow of thoughts and information that overwhelms modern humanity. The figure in the lotus position is central, a symbol of inner peace amid the storm of digital noise .
From this figure rises a spiral , in which a silver hard drive spins — the immense amount of data we are constantly sending and receiving. It symbolizes not only the digital revolution , but also the idea of the “divine download” : the process by which we communicate with the universe, not with words, but with energy and information .
Quo Vadis calls us to reflect on our connectedness in a shared space of consciousness , in which thoughts, ideas and data are constantly exchanging. We are not only receivers, but also transmitters of collective energy.
The work asks: Are we rudderless in this stream? Or can we find the direction of our own consciousness?
