Gatekeeper (1977) shows a mystical female figure, the guardian of the border between worlds , who is partly hidden behind architectural structures . Her penetrating gaze evokes a sense of observation and discovery , as a figure that both protects and reveals. Her outstretched hand seems an invitation to transition , to access what is hidden and yet to be discovered.
Above her float three spheres , reminiscent of a planetary alignment , as a visual sign of the cosmic dimension that permeates the work. These spheres symbolize the connection between the earthly and the divine , the forces that guide the movement of the planet and the soul .
Gatekeeper is a poetic image of vigilance , boundaries and revelation , in which the female figure functions as the protector and guide to new consciousness . The work raises the question: Who is the guardian of your gate?
