In her Horizon collection (1982) , Maria Angela gave free rein to her imagination . This playful series effortlessly balances between refined precision and subtle simplicity , inviting the viewer on a visual journey along the border between reality and fantasy . Each composition in the Horizon collection captures more than just forms — it captures feelings , the energy of the visual world expressed through line and color.
In Horizon Horse a new world is created: a moment captured in the space between what we see and what we feel. The painting evokes a view beyond the horizon , where unnameable worlds unfold in harmony and movement . The horse, as a symbol of strength , freedom and nature , is the perfect metaphor for the journey between the known and the unknown — a quest for self-discovery and spiritual expansion .
This work allows us to explore inner space , a space in which line and colour touch the senses and take us to a new reality.
